When did you start knitting?

I learned to knit when I was very young, I just knit garter stitch scarves, then I quit. But about 3 years ago I got interested in knitwear design and that’s when I started to learn more techniques and work on more ambitious projects.

How did you learn to knit? Who taught you?

I learned from my grandmother and her friends. A group of them used to get together every Wednesday, and to keep me occupied they bought me some knitting needles and some yarn and taught me to knit.

How would you describe what knitting means to you in 3 words?

Creative: I love fashion and design, for me creating garments is a way to express myself.

Experimental: I always try new things, it doesn’t matter if I have to undo a garment a thousand times as long as I get different results.

Addictive: you always want to knit one more row.

Do you prefer knitting for yourself or for others?

I like to knit for myself, but always wind up putting more effort into finishing garments I knit for others.

What is your favorite stitch?

I love lace, one, because you can use it to make summer dresses, which are my favorite to wear, and two, I love layering.

Which is your favorite We Are Knitters kit?

The iriri poncho, it’s very trendy but at the same time, easy to wear and to mix and match.

Chunky yarn, fine yarn, cotton, T-shirt yarn, or baby alpaca?

Cotton, it’s versatile, you can wear it in summer and in winter and it feels really good.

When is your favorite time of day to knit?

At night with music or with a good movie and a glass of wine.

Any knitting tips you want to share with us?

I love to seam my garments with invisible seams (Kitchener stitch), because aside from making a perfect join, it saves the work of binding off.
