We like unique and different stitches, that are also easy to knit. Textures are one of our best allies to give a touch that differentiates our projects without adding an excessive complexity at the time of using our needles. Today we will teach you a stitch pattern with a lot of character: the jacquard stitch.
Let’s see it!

For this step-by-step we have used one of our Ecolana skeins and our size US 10 (6 mm) beechwood knitting needles.
Before beginning, as usual, we leave for you a list of the used stitches:

We will begin by casting on a number of stitches multiple of 8 + 2.

Row 1: knit 1, *slip 4 with the yarn in front of the work, knit 4*. Repeat from * to * until there is 1 stitch left. Knit 1.

Row 2: purl 4, *slip 4 with the yarn behind the work, purl 4*. Repeat from * to * until there are 6 stitches left. Slip 4 with the yarn behind the work, purl 2.

Row 3: knit 3, *slip 4 with the yarn in front of the work, knit 4*. Repeat from * to * until there are 7 stitches left. Slip 4 with the yarn in front of the work, knit 3.
